Dutton Design Build strives to provide a safe, clean working environment for our clients and our employees. To help you understand our policies and procedures, please refer to the following notes:
- Starting / quitting time: Approximately 8 am to 4:40 pm, Monday through Friday. There may be days when it is necessary to work beyond those hours.
- Key: In order to have access to the project during construction, the project superintendent will need to have a key to your home. Only representatives of Dutton Design Build will have access to your home.
- Children and pets: In order to maintain safety and security for your children and pets, we need to be aware of any special conditions or instructions.
- Toilet facilities: The designated toilet facility for the remodeling team needs to be identified. There are occassions when we will provide an outdoor facility.
- Yard signs: Homeowner will agree to have a yard sign placed on the premises to enable subcontractors, material suppliers, and inspectors to readily identify the project.
- Communication center: A designated communicaiton area will be identified. This is the area where all notes, invoices, checks, etc. can be left to ensure proper communication.
- Food and beverages: Our employees and subcontractors are responsible for their own meals. There is a strict company policy against alcoholic beverages consumed on the job. Smoking is prohibited.
- Personal belongings: Homeowner is responsible for moving furniture, cleaning out cabinets and removal of all personal belongings in construction area.
- Floor protection, dust protection: Proper floor protection and dust barriers will be used.
- Trash removal: All demo material and construction debris will be removed. Construction area will be left "broom clean" at the end of each day.
- Material storage: Materials for the project will be delivered on an "as-needed" basis. A designated material storage area will be determined.
- Insurance: Certificates of liability insurance and workman's compensation will be provided to homeowner.
- Change orders: From time to time it is necessary to make additions or deletions to the scope of the project. When this happens, a change order is executed for signature and the budget is adjusted. Changes to the project add to the length of the production schedule and add to the cost of the project.
- Lien waivers: Supplied at the completion of the job.
